Craftsmanship

  • Faber Novella shoes are entirely handcrafted by our master artisans in Italy. From start to finish, a Faber Novella shoe is crafted using heritage techniques in Vigevano, the country’s luxury shoe capital, so you can be sure it is entirely authentic. 

  • Faber Novella shoes are handcrafted using only the finest local materials and softest leather, sourced from the most prestigious Italian tanneries. 
    SUEDE
    Made from the underside of the lamb skin, suede has a soft, velvety finish; this material adds a rich depth to bold colors. 
    NAPPA 
    Made from the highest quality lambskin, nappa is sumptuously soft with a smooth top finish.  
    METALLIC
    Made from the highest quality lambskin, metallic nappa has a soft, silky metallic top layer and will add a striking, high shine finish to your design.  
     

  • All our shoes have soles made from genuine Italian leather; the sign “vero cuoio Italiano“ is a true mark of quality.

  • If you are uncertain about the shade of your preferred color, or are hesitating between two, contact us and we will send you a swatch card with your chosen colors.  We are happy to provide a colour swatch card on request and we welcome clients to book an appointment to see our leather collection in London. 
     

  • Our leather archive contains over 100 colours; if you require a particular shade that is not on our website, contact concierge@fabernovella.com and we may be able to fulfil your request.  

  • LEATHER

    All leathers (including suede, nappa and metallic skins) should be cleaned regularly. Remove dirt and dust prior to cleaning your shoes with a natural cream. For suede shoes we recommend a crepe brush. 

    Always use the correct conditioning products for each leather. Water repellent spray is ideal for suede, while polish will condition smooth leathers. 

    For added protection from dirt and rain, we recommend you treat your beloved pair with a suitable product before use.

    We are always happy to advise on shoe care ; if in doubt please contact Faber Novella Customer Service or consult with your local cobbler. 

    STORAGE

    Shoes should be stored away from direct sunlight in a dust bag. We recommend using shoe trees to retain the shape of your shoes. 

    Always try to avoid contact between suede and leather pieces with pale materials.

    Should your shoes get wet, please dry them slowly in a natural, warm environment. Do not use any form of artificial heat as it will dry out and weaken the leather. 
     

Prices & Payment

  • Currently all orders are processed via PayPal. More payment options will be added soon. 

Sizes & Fit

  • We offer standard Italian sizes 35-42, including half sizes for the perfect fit. Here, you can find a mapping table to US and EU sizes and centimeters.
    If you would like us to create one shoe half a size larger, please contact us within 24 hours with your order number. 

  • This is entirely dependent on the fit of the shoe. With a loose fitting shoe, it is unlikely to stretch, due to the lack of pressure.

    As our socks, soles, and most uppers are leather, a snugger fit will stretch slightly.

  • For those living in London, please book an appointment to try our samples and determine your size. 

Delivery

  • Currently we only ship to EU countries.  

    For orders from non-EU countries, we request that you contact us first.

  • We are pleased to offer delivery free of charge within the UK and other EU countries.

  • Shoes are delivered on a weekday between 9am and 6pm by courier.

  • Crafting custom made shoes takes time and dedication; you will receive your shoes within 6 weeks of placing an order.

Returns

  • If you are unhappy with your shoes, you can return them within 30 days and our dedicated artisans will remake them free of charge. The shoes must be unworn.  Alternatively, we can offer a full refund. 

  • To return an order, please Contact us with your order number and your reasons for return. We will then provide you with further details. You are only responsible for the one-way return postage.  The cost for return postage will be discounted from your next order.
